Once you’ve completed your certified nursing assistant training courses and the practical study that goes along with it, the last thing standing between you and your new career is the nursing assistant certification exams in your state.
Many times, no matter how well you’ve done in class and how confident you are in your newfound abilities, you still may not be confident in your ability to gain your certification. That’s where the CNA practice test comes into the picture.
Preparation for the Real Thing
The CNA practice test is just that…a test designed to allow you to gauge your knowledge level before taking the actual exam. Most CNA practice tests are very similar to the actual certification exams that are given, but are not officially graded.
Your work is checked for accuracy, and you will be given the score you would have made had your practice test been the real thing.
Of course, as is always the case in the world of CNA training, your practice test needs to be based on the actual certification test given by your state, as each state has different qualifications to become certified, and therefore different tests.
Free to Take
The good news is that CNA practice tests are free; you should be able to find several with a minimum of searching online (just make sure it’s a practice test that is relevant to your state!), and there is no limit to the number of practice tests you can take.
You can also ask your instructor or any local hospital for information on CNA practice tests…they’ll be glad to point you in the right direction.
The old saying “practice makes perfect” applies here, so make sure you take at least one practice test before sitting for your actual nursing assistant certification exams.
